We went straight from Ginnie Springs to Ichetucknee Campground a campground
just outside the north gate of the state park. When we pulled in we didn't know what
to think there was no one around to be seen and only one camper we drove up to what
appeared to be the office and were pleased to find not only was it the office but it was
also a game room, pool room, and Bar WOW! what a great campground. We got our site set
up made supper and Mike and I went to the bar while my boys sat in the camper watching
movies it was nice having the bar 50yrds from the camper. We sat around the bar for an
hour or so talking with locals before turning in for the night. Morning came and we grabbed
some Tubes and headed for the River. Man what a day a lazy 7 mile trip down a crystal
clear river. What better way to relax? Off and on the whole way down river I would here Mike
say something like I can't believe it took me 10 yrs. to come back to this, and I can't believe
all the times I have been to Fla. that I had never done it before. By the time we got off the
river we were beat so we went back to the campground and got the site for another night.
We then piled in the van and went to Lake City for supper, some shopping and to do some
laundry. We returned that night to find the bar closed so we shot some pool and went to bed.

The next day Tues. July 3 we packed the camper and went for a brief visit to the Devils Den.
